The Tale of Garb Dog

(Author: Miguel Esteban Franco de los Rios)
Chorus is sung to the theme song from the Robin Hood TV Series.

Chorus:
Garb Dog, Garb Dog running through the glen;
Garb Dog, Garb Dog with her band of men;
Fur on her chest...
mud on her paw...
Garb Dog, Garb Dog, Garb Dog

The Watch:
At the War in the Desert located on-high;
She did pull the watch that very first night;
With her men she did honor to this, her first chore;
and searched out those embers that would have ended war.

Chorus:

The Pirates:
In the camp of the Pirates she did not run-hide;
While being sized-up for breakfast that night;
She challenged all there to play her favorite game;
And won hearts and respect, fore the sun rose again.

Chorus:

The Naming:
At the market she did make friend of one and all;
With a special attraction to the young and the small;
When a kind merchant did spy her garb and her paws;
She was awarded the name of the finest, Garb Dog.

Chorus:

Note: This was a silly song made up under duress, or beer as I recall.
